Future War in Space

The U.S. Air Force has releases a set time limit in which they have a futuristic goal set. They plan on to have new weapons and technologies ready between the time period 2010-2015. The Air Force's futuristic flight plan is he 176 page document, Transformation Flight Plan, offers a sweepinf look at how to best expand America's military space tool kit. One of the new gadgets is a Space Operations Vehicle (SOV) and this can be one of the vehicles that could deploy the Space Maneuver vehicle, a rapidly reusable orbital vehicle capable of executing a range of space control missions. In addition, the SOV can be utilized to deploy the Common Aero Vehicle, or CAV. This is all being brought forward by spokes people for the USAF.

A Military Space Plane could carry several Common Aero Vehicles, each containing multiple submunitions. Dropped from space, smart bombs and other high-velocity penetrators would strike enemy targets on Earth. The Air Force will be able to launch an attack from space and be able to deploy troops to enemy territory within minutes or hours and not days says the USAF.

The Air Force also plans to fight wars using space equipment and equipment on Earth to win decisive battles. The jet fighters in space can swoop down into Earth and attack enemy troops and then pull out so the land fighters can move in for the victory.

Guerrilla Warfare In Afghanistan

When fighting a war on enemy territory and is unfamiliar to you, the most potential threat against you is the usage of guerrilla warfare. Guerrilla warfare is the term for a strategy employed by natives of a country on foreign occupation and they used the hit and run tactics, which minimized the losses of the natives. Guerrillas depend on support of the local population. They preform ambushes and raids to combat a larger and less mobile formal army. Recently with the War in Afghanistan, the Taliban insurgents deployed their men and had them hide in the towns and when the American troops came by, they attacked the soldiers. Recently, the American troops have had their men penetrate the towns so insurgents can't get in and hide behind the innocent natives. Fighters use the warfare to demoralize the enemy troops and the nation behind it. The longer the war goes on, the more causalities there would be, so sides use the tactic of guerrilla warfare to cut down their losses and kill more of their enemies.

Marines W3

The Marines have been around for a long time but weren't called the Marines back then. Back in the Dark Ages, the Marines were called the Vikings; even though their methods were unorthodox to their predecessors, their amphibious tactics qualified them as marines. In the Formation of the different Marines, the Royal Marines were established on October 28, 1664. This group of marines was formed during the second Dutch War. The U.S. Marines outnumbers the Royal marines of England 175,000:7,000. Both forms of Marines have officers exchange between each group. The birth of the U.S. Marines began with the saying of "tow battalions of Marines be raised" for the soul purpose of landing forces with a fleet. They were establish on November 10,1775 and the Marines served on land and water. In the History of the Marines, the Continental Navy and Marines were disbanded in 1783 after the Treaty of Paris was signed to end the Revolutionary War. The Marines were then formally re-establish on July 11, 1798 and they fought in conflicts in France. They also participated in numerous operations during the war of 1812, including the defense of Washington D.C. The values that define a Marine are Honor, Courage, and Commitment. The oath a Marine is the following: "I do solemnly swear that i will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same and that I will obey the orders of the president of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations and the uniform code of military justice. So help me God." They also have a special group for audience purpose only and they are called the Silent Drill Platoon. From the official site of the Marines, comes the elite group of Silent Drill Platoon. Bayoneted rifles flying from Marine to Marine, the lineup of crisp dress blue uniforms, the rhythmic slap of rifles caught by leather-gloved hands: The Silent Drill Platoon exemplifies Marine Corps discipline and skill. Members of the Silent Drill Platoon are handpicked to represent the Marine Corps. Through intense practice they learn the precise rifle drill performed for audiences across America. The platoon is based at the historic Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., "8th & I." The Barracks is the oldest active post in the Marine Corps, and is located on the corners of 8th & I streets in southeast Washington, D.C. The Barracks supports both ceremonial and security missions, and is also the home of the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

The Aeronautical Division was created on August 1,1907 and was established by the Army Signal Corps. Under the lead of Capt. Benjamin D. Foulois, a small band of Airmen experimented with various aircraft and formed an operational unit, the 1st Aero Squadron, in December 1913. In From the Signal Corps to the Air Corps, the Air Force in America wasn't up and running till after WWI, the U.S. Airmen fought with French built planes and the British recognized the significance of these flying men, and so they established the Royal Air Force. With the start of WWII, the Air Corps number 26,000 personal and fewer than 2,000 planes. In Air Power Comes of Age in World War II, the expansion of the AAF began after the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, After this, many new types of planes were starting to be created, in which would help transport and fight for the U.S. With the expansion brought the B-29 Superfortress, and this helped drop atomic bombs over Japan to end the war. After that, the Air Force came in help in the Cold War, by helping remove the blockade the Soviet Union had in Berlin. In Countering the Communist Threat During the Cold War, the Air Force started to use F-86 Sabre to establish a deadly air superiority. The Air Force kept a large number force in the Pacific to battle the Communist there. After the Cold War, the history of the Air Force kept on building up as more advancements were made and more wars broke out. In Global Reach, Global Power and Global Engagement, the Air Force was getting too big, that they had to resize it by getting rid of some fields and making new ones to get a better organization going.
